In the first quarter of 2025, Dr. Joe Lemak the director of the Center for Mark Twain Studies (part of Elmira College), reached out to me to rebuild their website, marktwainstudies.com. In this particular case, it wasn’t so much that they were dissatisfied with the way their website LOOKED at the time, it was just that it was experiencing a lot of issues and down time. Joe asked me if I could rebuild it with a very similar look (while still giving some creative leeway).

While a large portion of the website looks much as it did prior to my rebuild, the entire blog portion WAS visually redesigned by me with a specific design template to be used with each article category. So, the blog/article section along with a few other tidbits throughout this VERY size-ble website werevisually constructed by me.

The staff also hired me to shoot drone footage of Mark Twain’s Quarry Farm (his family’s summer home for the last 20 years of his life). This new aerial/drone footage was used in the banner of the new website, posted on the Center For Mark Twain Studies YouTube Channel and will likely be used elsewhere in the future according to Dr. Lemak. I was also hired to do a second photo and video shoot of the inside of Quarry Farm and made several compilation videos which reside on the CMTS YouTube channel as well as my own (Drone
Captures by Thirsty Fish
), serving as portfolio pieces.

In 2022 I was contacted by Joan Reese, who had recently taken over duties as director for the United Way of Bradford County, to entirely revamp their existing website that hadn’t been touched in years.

Joan and I knew each other from work I had done for her and her staff when she ran an animal rescue facility in the same county. Joan had been pleased with my work there and thought I would be the right person for the United Way as well.

I proceeded to recreate the United Way website in the back end and, when we were both satisfied, launched the new project.

The United Way of Bradford County now has a new director but still relies on me for all updates and designs. You can visit the site at unitedwaybradfordcounty.org

Having had taken my animals to Corning Animal Hospital for several years, head veterinarian Dr. Clay knew what I did for a living. When he informed me that he was having lots of trouble with his current website, both in terms of its look and content as well as the hosting platform where it “lived” I volunteered to help him out with what he currently had (and was able to fix it…somewhat). This eventually led to me redesigning the entire site soup-to-nuts.

The Corning Animal Hospital site is quite a fun one to work on from a design aspect because they basically give me full freedom to be as creative as I want to be and to really make the site look nice while simultaneously being easy to navigate. You can visit the site at corninganimalhospital.net

Dr. Parousis, managing partner of Urology Associates of Cumberland, MD, contacted me way back in 2008 to possibly take over their existing website. The company they formerly worked with was apparently very unresponsive to their needs. After working with their original website for about a year, both Dr. Parousis and Dr. Allaway asked for a total redesign.

After working for a few weeks with a brilliant photographer the staff of Urology Associates had hired, I provided them with a brand new look. You can visit the site at urologyassociatesmd.com

Jeff Waters, a consultant for the community of Retirement Estates of Big Flats, reached out to me in the summer of 2025 to re-design their website. Retirement Estates is exactly what it sounds like: a closely knit community of folks at retirement age and older. Their community is quite friendly and they were very nice to work with.

The website was completed near the end of the summer and, when the board found out I was also a licensed, commercial drone photographer/videographer, they also hired me to take drone footage of the community along with extensive video edits. You can visit the site as well as see the aerial footage at retirement-estates.com

Owner Barbara Thompson contacted me in the summer of 2024 to build her an new website and online store for Crystal City Olive Oil. As it turns out, the person in charge of her prior website, while knowledgeable, was doing webwork as a side gig and was often hard to contact. Barabara wanted to work with someone she could work with occasionally in person and get to know.

We launched her new website (complete with recipes!) and online store shortly before the autumn of 2024. You can see her website at crystalcityoliveoil.com

Apparently word travels fast in Bradford County, PA about the work of Thirsty Fish!! And I am NOT complaining one bit.

I began working with Maryanne of Bradford County Humane Society in (I believe) 2021 after she had spoken to several other business folks in the area that had hired me for web work.

Maryanne wanted a simple, clean and fun design for her new website; one that was easy for volunteers to find information and easy for someone in the community (or anywhere for that matter) to make a donation to The Humane Society.

I have been working with Kimberly of Namastè Event, Spa & Wellness Center for about 3 years now. Although I completely redesigned the Namastè website for her, it was a very smooth transition as her original website was built with the same software and builder that I normally use – so I just needed to get my hands in it for a week or so.

Since the redesign we have done MANY updates on Kim’s website and I (and more importantly SHE) is always pleased with the way the site looks and functions for the Namastè clients. You can visit the Namastè website at mynamastespa.com

Yet another of my Bradford County, PA friends / clients! Martha Lloyd Community Services offers a myriad of services for folks with special needs.

Board member, Todd Boyles was in contact with the former director of The United Way of Bradford County and Martha Lloyd was looking for someone to take over website duties for the organization as well as giving it a “facelift”.
